Randomness

While I sit here watching kooper play & watch sesame street, and waiting on brad to get home with kyn, and letting dinner sit in the oven so it will stay warm...I'll catch up on some randomness.

This past weekend brad and I went to a consignment sale in hopes to find a double stroller. No luck. But we did come out with some cute outfits for the kids and two toys for $57. Not too bad!

Kynlies sweet little dress I found for all under $7!!

Koopers outfits all around $5 or less!!

Two toys! I picked up the cookie monster to use at Koopers 1st birthday party. (I may have to re dress him) and I got the care bear for kyn. Shes been into her care bear books lately.

After we left there, brad took me by the cemetery where my grandparent are. It was just a few exits over and unfortunately we don't get up that way as often as we should.

I love their little bench!! :)) "till we meet again" It sits under a beautiful tree.

When we got home we went to get kyn from my parents house. We went and had dinner, came back and just hung out there. The guys played darts and mom and I visited, while the kids played.

Mom & daddy

Pro dart player! :)

Kooper making us think he's going to crawl, but he won't.

My pianist! This was my moms toy piano when she was a little girl. Her and her sister played on it, then my brother, me, all my cousins, then my niece Bailee, now my kids! I love old sentimental things like this!

This toy highchair was also my moms.

Sweet boy playing!
That was our Saturday...

Sunday we went to church and then to my parent for lunch. My dads best friend from his child hood that he's stayed friends with all these yrs came over. So we went to see him & his wife and have lunch.

Well I'm going to go and eat my dinner. :))

Friday Find with a little bit of randomness

Sorry, I might have rambled on a bit...

I started my morning off with a plate of banana bread and a hot cup of coffee with my favorite creamer, vanilla caramel from coffee mate.

I've been battling a on going cough. It's driving me crazy! I have prescription cough syrup i take at night, but it causes drowsiness and that and two very needy kids don't go together. So I lathered up on Vicks rub. I'm researching for home remedies. Know any, let me know.

After the lunch hour the kids and I got to go to "work" with Bradley! Years ago, 2003 to be exact, Bradley and his dads company installed equipment into a new bank that was being built in our town. Well, the bank didn't stay open long, 4 yrs maybe and as far as I know it's been vacant ever since. ANYWAYS.... Someone bought the building and plans on remodeling it for office space. So Bradley's dad had to go give him a price on removing all the bank equipment. I tagged along to take pictures of the equipment so my father n law can try and sale it. Well the bank was left with tons of furniture and the guy that bought it was stuck with it all. I took one chair off his hands. (he had three just like this and I wanted them all but have no room for them) I have so many ideas for it. My main idea is have it reupholstered to match my bed room and find a small round table to place next to it.

Later tonight we went to Bradley's parents for dinner and hang out. Brads dad had a fire going and it was so nice!

Kynlie has a lot of fun over there. The next door neighbor has a daughter that recently turned 3 and although there is a language difference they have fun together.

Ok now that I bored you with my Friday I'm going to bed!

Our Thursday

What a day. It felt like today went on and on. A lot of it could have been because kooper and myself have not been feeling well and brad has been out of town and was coming home today. Some times it feels like time stands steel when we are waiting in him to get home from being gone for a few days.

So here's what we did today...

Kynlie decided to make a total mess in the living room. We have a perfectly nice playroom and she would rather make the mess here :)

This is proof I have an awesome husband!! After we got home tonight (dinner at my parents) I go to take a shower and he cleaned the mess!!! He's so good and helps out all the time!!

I played around and put together a few no sew clothes. This is something I'm working on for kynlie and her friend grace for disney on ice next weekend!! How cute is this going to be?!

Kooper all dressed up for dinner in his tie shirt I whipped up today. So handsome!!

I've had a lot of over ripped bananas so I finally made some banana bread. This recipe makes two loafs.

This is one of the loafs...already tour into! Easy recipe.... 3-4 bananas, 1 box yellow cake mix, 2 eggs, 1 cup chocolate chips, 1 cup pecans. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 mins!!

Kynlie entertained her self for a while by brushing her rocking horses hair and putting pony tails on it.

I laid kooper down for his morning nap today because he couldn't keep his eyes open but he still fusses and tries to fight his sleep. After he calmed down I went and checked on him and this is how I found him. He made him self comfy :))

We ended our day by walking down to my parents for dinner. Kyn rode her tricycle all the way to their house!! When brad got home from work he drove down in his truck so we wouldn't have to walk home in the dark.

I'm glad the weekend is almost here. I'm ready to spend time with my hubby and I'm hoping to feel better and get some rest!

Say it's not SEW

I've been busy making some clothes for kyn, kooper, & just because. My poor sewing machine is at the doctor. It stopped working back in December. I've had the itch to make things and since I don't have my machine at the moment, I'm using heat n bond and fabric glue with a little bling bling!

These are some of the shirts I've made in the past week.

I made this very cute clover onesie for Koop man. Well unfortunately he didn't get to wear it because that size 12 month onesie was too small (this brand runs small). But I have a friend having a baby in September and by next march hopefully it will fit the baby.

The shirt I made for kynlie. I love how it turned out! I'm hoping it will fit next yr too.

Looked great with her green tutu!

I put together this sweet green cotton tail bunny onesie last night. It's 3-6 month size. I was just playing around, not thinking it would turn out that good that's why I used 3-6 m. But it turned out so cute!!! I just have to find someone that can wear it!

I put this together last night too. I can't wait to put this on kyn, with her green tutu. Or any of those colors...she has them all!

I picked this material up at Walmart a few days ago. I'm dying to make something with it. I may wait till I get my machine back to see what I can come up with.

Thats it for now. My no sew outfits...

Kooper 7 months

Our big boy turned 7 months on the 15th.

I wish he would slow down on growing up on me. He's my last and I want him to stay a baby as long as he can.

He's trying to crawl. But to be honest, I do not think he has that much of an interests. He'll pull up on his knees for a short time then back to his belly.

He's still not eating baby food all that great. He has yet to finish a jar of food. I don't think it's the taste because he'll eat, just not much before he starts cry to be nursed. He finally took a bottle last weekend while his nana kept him. Thank God! But now I've got to get to pumping more so I can have more milk.

He loves laughing at his sister. She is pretty funny I'll have to admit!! I love when he laughs. Sweets giggle and I get to see ALL his teeth. 2 on top, 2 on bottom, and all 4 sides are coming in. That could be a reason he doesn't sleep well.

He is so sweet! I think (hope) he's going to be my calm child. He's very love able and I can't get enough of his sweet lovin. I love hugging his chunky little body!!

He has started not liking his bath time. I'm not sure why. We stared bathing both kids at the same time and letting them play. It worked for a short time and now for some reason he cries his head off.

He still is not sleeping through the night. Although, he slept till 4am last night!! Usually it's 2 when I have to go get him out of his bed. I try the tough love sometimes to keep him in his bed longer. Mostly during the day and it works. But at night I can't do it as much if Kynlie is a sleep because I don't want him to wake her....and it breaks my heart (but it does work)

He loves his momma!! I can not be in a room with him, with out him crying to be held (example picture above). Kyn was the same way. I love the love but boy do I hope it passes soon. I have a hard time getting things done around the house.

I love this sweet face. He'll take a brake from nursing and stare out the window, then he'll go back to eating :))

He love to be outside! We can usually get him calmed down if he's fussy by going outside. Luckily it's been so pretty to do that.

He babbles a lot. It sounds like he says momma but it kinda keeps going. "momomomom" and "dadadadad"

He loves sesame street. Elmo and Big Bird I think are his favorite. His face lights up and he'll stare at the TV for a while watching it. I've already decided that's his 1st birthday party theme. I've found some great ideas on pinterest.

I love his long eyelashes! His sister has them too. So lucky!

Well life has been pretty awesome these last 7 months. I'm tired but would not change it for the world!! My love for Kooper gets stronger everyday!!!

Dollar Tree finds and our day

I love the dollar tree! I always find things in there I cant live with out. I mean really, how can u pass things up for a $1!?!

I stocked up not too long ago on a bunch of "good job, you've been a good girl, surprise" gifts for kynlie. I have them hid in my room and when the time is right she gets one.

Also one of the best bribery gifts that she loves the most and it works every time, is a ballon! They have the best balloons there and she thinks she's on cloud 9 when she gets one. We are on our third ballon. The first one is stuck up at the top of our very tall ceiling. (someone cut the string off and up it went) the second one some how got popped when she was being baby sat Saturday. So her sweet aunt Andie bought her a new one today....

One of my most recent finds that the whole family cannot get enough of is this awesomeness right here...

Best $1 spent lately :)) I won't tell you how many bags we've gone through.

My sweet daughter keeps taking my lip gloss out of my purse and misplacing it. I can't tell you how many times I've got on to her for that and she keeps doing it. So I found this $1 lip gloss and love it!!

I hope she doesn't take this one but if she does at least it's not $10 like my other stuff.

I also found this eye shadow. I need help with my eye make up but that's another post. I like the shinny sparkling look.

It's a powder and has a small brush to apply it with. I'll have to try the other colors they had. Gold and brown.

I'm a coupon cutter! Any chance to save money, I'll take it. Obviously, I'm shopping at the dollar tree! My mom found a coupon book there for me a while back but it was plain Jain (thats all they had at the time) and I'm a colored kinda girl. I found this one today! Yay!!

I also found Koopers Easter basket there!

Fits perfect in our family. We love baseball and Easter fall right around when opening season starts. Go Rangers!

Today we had a play date at chick fil a with a my friend Candice and her kids. Candice and I use to go to church together and work together. Her husband was our youth minister but they relocated to another church about 30 mins away.

That was the only picture I took because the girls were having too much fun to take a picture.

Then we headed to target. I did it, I went shopping by myself with too kids! It's a lot harder these day since we've changed car seats for Kooper. He no longer can ride in his car seat in the cart. He's not too fond of sitting in the front of the cart too long. So he started crying and I had to hold him and push the car. Well 21 lbs gets real heavy after a few minutes. So I took his cart cover and re arranged the cart and this is what worked...

He liked it! Until sister picked on him and we had to leave.

We had a good day today! We have a week planned I'm excited about. Tomorrow we are meeting back up with Candice at her house for another play date! Wednesday my mom and me and the kids are going to take my sewing machine to get fixed. Thursday I'm sooooo excited to get here. My BFF Dawn is in town visiting and we are have a girls day!

I'm off to bed now....
