We are now a family of 5

We are now the proud parents of a sweet 6 week old toy chihuahua. It's a girl!! We have named her Dixie Rainbow Dash Kubin (Kynlie picked her middle name lol, from my little pony).

She is so sweet!!! When we picked her up today, I got to visit with her mom. I was so pleased to see that she was not hyper, "yappy", jumpy, and she was very loving! Ive heard and seen most chihuahuas can be all of the above.

She is mostly black with brown paws and brown around her mouth and eyes. I'm not sure what she weighs right now, but it can't be much. Her full grown weight is estimated to be 5 to 6 lbs!!

Kynlie loves her so much, I knew she would!!! She's begging me to let her sleep in her room, in the crate, but I'm not so sure right now.

Kooper cried all the way home because I wouldn't let him hold her. He forgot about her after his nap. When he saw her later, he went crazy to hold her. So we finally let him and surprisingly he was pretty gentle. He kept saying "my gog" "hi, what you doin" and cried every time I took her.

She's already spoiled. She likes to crawl up on my shoulder and rest. I know she's very young but we are having a hard time getting her to eat and drink. Only way I could was to place it on my fingers and let her lick it off lol! She likes to tuck her head in the corner of the bed and sleep. The last picture above, she fell asleep eating out of my hand.

She's so so tiny. That pink stuffed toy is just about the same size as her.
I've always said I would never get a dog, cat, etc... Much less a inside dog. But I'm glad I decided to. I think Dixie will be a wonderful addition to our family. Let's face it, I'm having baby fever so bad and can not have anymore babies, so I'm fixing it with Dixie! But no worries, she will never ever take the place of my two most precious kiddos!

So much to say...

Shame on me for being a bad blogger. I love blogging, I love sharing my family with family and friend, and I love to look back years from now and read what we were up to. I've been blogging since 2008, can't stop now!

It's 1:30am so I won't be blogging much at the moment. Why am I up so late you ask? One guess...Kooper Mathew!

There has been so much happening in our crazy wonderful life I need to document. But for now I'll just post a few pictures of my most favorite people in my life...as most of y'all who read didn't know this already!

Bradley and I got to enjoy a wonderful night out at a wedding recently. We danced and laughed all night long with great friends! He truly is the love of my life and I thank God daily for this funny, handsome, hardworking, (I could go on and on) man He gave me.

This was Sunday at my parents. We celebrated thanksgiving on the Ervin side. This girl is growing faster than I'd like. I'm enjoying every minute of it though. She's my mini me more and more as she's getting older. I personally don't think it's a bad thing lol!

Oh and this little fella here. What can I say?!? He's a mess!! Just as funny as he can be, stubborn as can be, and oh so loving!! He's getting very attached to his daddy and I love the bond that's growing! But, he is still all mommas boy and will cuddle up with me (like right now) and I will take it! I pray he's feel he's never to old to hug or kiss his momma.

I mean, have you ever seen two cuter cowboys?? They melt my heart!! If only I could freeze frame time!!

Well there you go MOMMA I finally blogged. So much more to come. Some amazing things to update on in our life.

Double Turtle Party

Saturday we had the kids birthday party. We decided since their birthdays are so close together we would have a double party this year. All the same friends would be invited so why not make it easy on everyone...momma being number 1, and have one party.

Both kids have been into Ninja Turtles so much lately. So I thought a turtle party theme would be fun. I even made it part girly for Kynlie. I have more and better pictures off my camera I hope to upload soon. These are from my phone and from a sweet friend who took some and text them to me.
Bradley's aunt makes AMAZING cakes. She's so talented its crazy!! Oh and they taste SO great! I told her I wanted two turtle cakes, just the head and to make one pink and girly. They were perfect!

My sweet and also very talented friend Britani made the kids shirts! Are they not just perfect?? Look how they match the cakes perfect too!

My parents were so kind to rent this bounce house water slide for the weekend. The kids, mostly Kynlie loved it!! I enjoyed a few trips down the slide myself.

The main inside table was decorated with pink and green. I had "sewer lids" (Oreo cookies), "turtle grub" (gummy worms), & "slime" (green punch). I used the kids stuffed turtles as decoration as well. I thought it all looked great! We also had pizza for lunch...because what turtle party is not complete without pizza!

We had a great turn out for the party. All of our sweet friends and family came and celebrated with us. Although it was 100 degrees out, it was a great time. We are so blessed to have the people we have in our life's.

We sang happy birthday to them at the same time and Kooper did not like it lol, not sure why he hates the birthday song?!
Kynlie standing so sweetly waiting to blow out her candles.

I love this picture that my friend Shannon captured of Kooper and I!

We had so much fun! I love making these memories with my kids!

Family Pictures

So I'm up with Kooper. He's been up since 3am. We are currently on our second round of "crying it out". He's been so good at sleeping for me, but not tonight. I guess he's nervous about his upcoming 2yr well child check today HA! I figured since I'm up I'd blog...

We had some family pictures made about 2 weeks ago. I am more than thrilled about how they turned out!! We could not have asked for a better evening in August in Texas! Enjoy!

Weekend recap

We had a low key weekend. I didn't even take many pictures.

Friday, Bradley got off a little later than normal so we didn't plan anything. Once he got home we played outside and his parents walked over for supper.

I finished some painting projects. I'm making frame...or I should say repainting them. I did these two for a friend.

This one is a chalk board frame.

After my n-laws left, I put the kids in the bath and snuck off for a late night Walmart trip...alone!
Bradley had to work all day Saturday. So the kids and I stayed home and I cleaned Kynlies room and closet and did all the laundry.
I did find time for some snuggles with my girl

After Bradley got home Kynlie and I went to our annual church swim party. We had a lot of fun! Kynlie swam her heart out! I had a great time visiting with friends.
We got up this morning and went to church. We have a new pastor and I can not say enough good things about him! I see wonderful things happening for our churches future! I've prayed so hard for this. When our pastor retired nearly 2 yrs ago our church just kinda went down hill, but it's on it's way back up!

Today at lunch Bradley bought these funny teeth and Kynlie loves them...they are a pair!

Then to end our weekend and day, Bradley and I had a last minute date night!
So happy to have alone time with my honey!

We went to the movies and saw We Are The Millers. It was so funny!! I love Jennifer Anniston. There was a lot of language but still very good.

Now I'm off to hopefully a full nights sleep.
