Family Pictures 2012

About a month ago I had a girl I know take our family pictures. She likes to take pictures for a hobby, like I do. I thought it would be nice to have someone else, besides my self do them.

She met us at my n-laws and we took them in their passture. She ended up editing about 50 pictures! Here are a "few" of my favorites.

Here are my favorites of Brad and I and then just the kids.

Where has Joy been?

Joy has been moving around the house this past week. Kynlie has had a great time looking for her and enjoying some of her silly places to sit.

One morning we found her on our clock. She accidentally stopped the clock too. Oops!

We noticed that she found a pink princess crown and placed it on her head.

One morning we woke up to Joy in our kitchen making a mess. She wrote her name in sugar!

She sat up on top of the stove ledge for a day to rest after playing in the sugar.
We then found her hanging from the ceiling fan string. She was pretending to be an acrobat.

Today we found Joy in Kynlies bathroom. She was rested up on her bow holder. And looky there, Santa remembered to send her back with a skirt on!! Joy thought it would be cute to wear one of Kyns bows!

That's all the places Joy has been so far. Can't wait to find her again!

Christmas Parade

Last week our town had its annual Christmas parade. It's always a good time with good friends.

The weather was great. Here in Texas, you can expect 70 and 80 degree weather during December. So that night I think it was in the 60s. It felt great.

Grace & Kynlie have grown up together. They are so sweet together. Grace is like a big sister to her and helps keep an eye on her and treats her so sweetly.

Her momma and I are best friends! That's sweet Jack, Heathers holding, her nephew.

This Heathers sister Melissa. Another one of my sweet friends.

All of girlies at the parade with our kiddos. I'm so lucky to have such sweet friends.

A Christmas lighted fire truck. How cute!

And the man of the hour....Santa!

We had a good time!

Welcome Joy

Meet Joy! She's the newest member to the Kubin family. She will be staying with us for the next 3 weeks.

She made her smooth landing on our front porch this afternoon.
***side note*** "Santa" forgot to send her skirt with her. We think it was left in the washing machine. But no worries, it's on it's way and possibly will be here tomorrow.

We were playing this afternoon when we heard a knock at the door and there Joy was, sitting so pretty, waiting on Kynlie.

We quickly moved her inside and placed her on the entertainment center. We than said our hellos and we read her book so we would know all the rules and fun facts about Joy.

Kynlie is excited to know that Joy has real magical powers, knows Santa, likes popcorn, & her favorite doll is Doc McStuffins just like her.
Later Kynlie had to take a potty break and while we was gone doing her business, Joy decided she wanted to sit on the other side of the entertainment center.

We put our name in the book and put it on the self to read again soon

After Kynlie when to bed tonight, Joy decided she needed a little popcorn and a conversation with the snowman.

I'm so excited for Kynlie to wake up and find her. Im excited for many more fun times with Joy. More posts to come with our new friend.

15 months...a little late

Kooper turned 15 months a while back but didn't have his check up until last week.

He's 26 bounds and 32 inches (I think he's taller though)

Dr P said he's growing up perfect and I can't agree more.

He's SO sweet!!! He loves to give random hugs. He loves to cuddle with his momma and pawpaw.

He's talking a lot. Of course I can only under stand a few words. Such as, ball, dog, bye bye, and his new and favorite thing to say is "oh wow". And the rest is Chinese sounding.

He's sleeping better. Just in the last week he's only woke up a few nights and it's usually once.

He eats better too. Yay!!

He's wearing size 18 month in clothes (bless his heart, momma is still squeezing him in 12 m though) Size 5 shoe. Size 4 diaper.

His hair is still blondish red and he has very little. His eyes are still blue but some times they look grey.

(my dare devil)

He loves to dance. He's so funny when he does. He'll swing one arm as he bounces up and down.

(piece fullness in the car today)

He will watch bubble guppies all day if I would let him. Its the best way to calm him down or distract him.

He's growing way too fast. I'm loving every minute but wish it would slow down.

A Little Christmas Decor

I don't seem to have as many Christmas decorations up this year. I don't know if it's because we are in a new home or I'm just tired of our old stuff. Probably both.
I need a new tree, bad! We have had the same 6.5 foot tree since 2005 when Bradley and I moved in together. The lights do not stay on long. I'm surprised it took this long for it to go out.

I've decided this year to put our Christmas cards in the tree since I no longer have my double shutter doors I use to use as my card display.

This is at the top of our entertainment center. I bought that Christmas tree star candle holder at a thrift store years ago for $5. That thing is so heavy. It's been one of my very favorite pieces.

I finally found my Christmas village when we moved. I had to put it up high so a little someone can't get to it. I decorated my shelfs with extra Christmas balls and pine cones.

Last year my friend Dawn bought me this platter with our name on it. I didn't get it until after Christmas, so this is my first year to display it. It matches the rest of my kitchen things great

This has always been one of my favorite decorations. I love the red and gold. I adore mine and Kynlies stockings.

I don't have a mantel so I have to use my accent tables at stocking holders. These are Bradley's and Koopers.

I put this tiny tree and boot stocking in Koopers room. It's just too cute!!

Kynlies pink tree. I had planed on taking the green bows off this year and adding zebra ribbon but I never got around to it. I may still try.

Her stocking.

I found this sweet book and we are excited to read it...every night if I know Kynlie :)
