Kooper's 1st Party Sesame Street

I started this post a while back but something happen to my phone and it cut off and I lost it :(

So I may ramble trying to remember everything and making sure I don't miss anything about his party.

We had Kooper's party a few days before his actually birthday. It was Sesame Street theme and I think it turned out just perfect!!

Elmo the cup cake cake. I loved how it turned out! Bradley's aunt made it for us. She's so talented.

The main table. Full of cookies, fruit, veggies, goldfish, & cup cakes.

The cookie monster station. There were Oreos, chocolate chip, & oat meal.

Goldfish area. We bought a real goldfish for the party and for the kids to have as a pet (somehow its still alive to this day lol) We named her Dorothy just like Elmo's friend on Sesame Street.

This might have been my favorite station. Oscars Trash. We found a 6 gallon tin can and I filled it with chex mix aka "Trash". I also had a bowl of gummy worms. On Sesame Street Oscar has a friend worm named slimmy.

This was just a decorated area. Best Buds, Bert & Ernie. I had a bowl full of water with rubber duckies floating in it. Ernie's favorite toy is his rubber duckie. Bert's is his pigeon.

This was the Reading spot. I bought a lot of Sesame Street book for the kids to take home. I set Big Bird in a "nest" with a book, because Big Bird loves to read and he had his pal, Snuffy next to him.

That was all the decorations. Here's the rest of the party and guests.
The birthday boy and his papa. He had just woke up from his nap when everyone arrived.

He did not want to open gifts.

He just wanted his papa...like always.

Now for the cake smashing time. Enjoy all the messy pictures...

After a good scrub down, that he cried the whole time getting, we headed outside to play in his new truck. Memaw and Pappy bought him his first truck! Brad and I are hoping they will buy him his next truck too...in 15 yrs ;))

Carrying precious cargo!!

After a few rides he relaxed on the driveway and checked his emails on his new lap top

And ended in papas lap...again!

It was a wonderful party! I was so pleased at how everything came together!

Just for fun I did a few comparison pictures of the kids on their first birthday parties. I think they resemble a lot of each other.

Happy 1st Birthday Kooper

Yesterday our sweet boy turned one. I can not wrap my mind around how this year has flown by. I seriously can remember everything about the day he came into this world.

It's been a wonderful year. Lots of sleepless nights but I would not trade it for anything.

Kooper has brought such joy and love to our family and he has made it complete!!

He's a spitting image of his daddy. Or so I think he is. Some people think he's looks like me, but I can not see it.

I'm not sure what he weighs but I'm guessing 25lbs. We go for his 1 yr check next week.

He's wearing size 12m clothes and some 18m. I've started putting shoes on him because he's walking some and he's wearing a size 4. He wears a size 4 diaper.

He is eating better, not as much as I would like but some is better than none.

His sleeping is so different every night. One night he'll sleep till 4 or 5 am and nurse and go back to sleep till 8:30. Then there's nights like the night before his birthday he was up every hour. He's had a few nights were he's actually slept the whole night!! I'm praying we will get more in the very near future!! This momma is tired

He's walking!! He started walking at around 11, 11 1/2 months. He still crawls more than walks but that's ok.

He doesn't say much, just baby noises. Sometimes, we will get a dada momma and he says "I dye" for bye bye and he will wave his hand.

He has started to love bath time. It took a while but he finally enjoys it.

He is head over hills for his pawpaw. He will pick him over me and anyone else on most days.

He still nurses...all the time! I'm trying to wean him but I don't think he's interested in stopping anytime soon. I give him milk sometimes but he will defiantly fight me at nap time and bed time to nurse.

He takes good naps for me. On days Kynlie has MDO he will take two good naps. Since we are on break from MDO for a few weeks he's sleeping in and only taking one long nap during the day.

He has a mouth full of teeth. I think his far back ones are coming in because he's extra fussy and keeps biting his whole hand.

He is such a blessing! I can't even begin to think how we could live with out our sweet boy!! I love him so much!!

All of these pictures I took a few weeks before he turned one. They were taken at last minute at my n laws. His knees were very dirty, he had a full diaper, & the chair was unfinished. But they turned out perfect and I wouldn't trade them for anything.

Happy 1st Birthday sweet boy! We love you so much!

Happy 5 Years

Today is our 5 year wedding anniversary. What a great 5 years it's been too. We have been together 7 & 1/2 years.

Please enjoy some old and current pictures of us.

(tonight on our way to dinner)

After 5 years, we have 2 beautiful babies that have made this life together even better.

(one of my favorite pictures of us on our wedding day)

God could have not picked out a better man for me. He treats me like a queen (most days ;)) He works so hard for our family and loves us more than anything...although I think his playstation comes in second lol! Speaking of, I gave in and bought him a new remote he's been wanting. I complain....a lot about his playstation habits but I'd much rather him be doing that then out doing who knows what.

He was so sweet and got me a gift certificate to get a massage!! He's always good and thinks to get me that.

We went out to dinner tonight at our favorite place, Pappaduaex's! We have gone there every time we've gone out to celebrate. Then we went and walked around target! I know we are party animals!

I feel so blessed to have Bradley in my life!! He truly is the best husband and father.

(dancing at our wedding)

(daddy giving me away to the man of my dreams)

(that red spot was not on my dress, it was the picture)

(tonight after dinner)

(on our way to church last Sunday)

(lol this was a long time ago!! Before we were even dating. Look how young we are!)

(I LOVE this picture!!! This picture was taken right after the moment he first told me he loved me. My mom took the picture, had no clue he was telling me that, she was just taking pictures. Also we had just got through dancing to Amarillo By Morning with his dad signing (it was at his sisters wedding) so this picture is special to me)

Happy anniversary babe!!! I can not wait to see what life has in store for our small amazing family! I love you so much and look forward to having you by my side the rest of my life!!

Kooper 11 months

I know I just did a post on kooper turning 10 months. How am I doing one now about him being 11 months? Where is my pause button???

(4th of July night)

My handsome boy turned 11 months last Sunday the 15th. Only one months until he's 1 :((

(4th of July day)

I'm not taking it so well. Seriously, I have cried a few time about it. Obviously I enjoy watching him grow and learn but I want to keep him a baby as long as I can. Probably because I know he's my last.

(sleeping with pawpaw on 4th of July night)

Not much has changed in a month. He's standing up all the time by his self. He just has not taken that first step.
He's starting to add different sounds to his vocabulary. I swear I hear him trying to say sister or sis on a daily base. He says "dis" all the time as he "points" at something with his fist.

(with daddy needing a nap on 4th of july)

He's still not sleeping through the night. But he only really wakes up one time at night.

(4th of July. Notice the fan in the back? Well our AC decided to stop working that day, in 100 degree weather :( not fun. But it's fixed now)

Still not a good eater. I've tried every baby food known to man kind. He's not interested. So I tried table food...nope, not interested. He's starting to like the gerber Cheetos. It's not that he doesn't eat at all, it's he's only will take a few bites here and there and then pushes it away. He does like chocolate pudding...but who doesn't?

(taking a short nap on momma before I had a movie date with my sis n law. Love these moment more than anything)

I still nurse him. I've introduced cows milk to him a little early only because I've ran out of pumped milk and need to start weening him off me. I didn't feel that this close to 1 I needed to switch to formula. He likes cows milk, but still prefers momma. I have my work cut out.

(just standing around)

He's really starting to get a personality and attitude. We laugh so hard at him when he dances. He sits on his bottom and wobbles his head and tries to shake his butty, while sitting. He gets so mad and upset when sister takes a toy from him or brad or I take something out of his hand he doesn't need.

(he was dancing here to sisters Dora dancing doll...too cute)

He's cut his back teeth already. I know he's in pain, it's swollen and red. He had his second dentist appointment not that long ago. He was pretty good for the most part.

(getting those pearly whites clean)

He's wearing a size 12 month in pants and some 18 month in shirts. Size 4 diaper. He doesn't wear shoes because his foots so fat, he probably wears a 4 though.

(just relaxing in his repaired (geto) push car. He loves this car)

Finally he's starting to take a bath in the big tub!!

(enjoying chocolate pudding)

What little hair he has, is still blondish red. His eyes are still blue/gray. They are gorgeous!!

(hanging out with his favorite person, pawpaw)

As sad as I am that my baby boy is turning one...I'm so excited about his 1st birthday party! We are having it a few days before he turns one. It's sesame street theme and I have some cute ideas I've come up with and some I've had help from pinterest.

(helping daddy pick out his clothes before church)

Stay tuned for his party post. (the way I'm blogging lately, it's probably going to be the next post. I hope not though)

Happy 11months sweet sweet boy!!! The love I have for u is indescribable!!!!!!

Quitting 1 Year Ago To Have My Dream Job

I can not believe its been a year since I was able to quit my job at the doctors office and start my new job as a full time stay at home mom/wife. Time sure does go fast when you're having fun.
I feel so blessed to have been given the chance to stay home with my babies. I never thought I would be able to do this.
I am very lucky to have a hard working, supportive, & loving husband who does everything he can so I can be with our babies and take full care of them. But at the same time we are just as blessed to have the parents we have who are so supportive of me staying home and help us out in so many ways. We are so lucky to have the family we have!

Now let me be honest.... In my head when I worked, I had this image of a stay at home mom/wife and I always imagine what my life would be like if I ever had the chance to stay home. HA!!! Let me say, it's not as I imagine. Don't get me wrong, I love my job and I would never regret my decision to stay home.

I always thought if I stayed home, my house would alway be so clean, because I'd have more time to keep it clean. Nope, I find it harder to keep it clean. Probably because I have a almost 4 yr old and almost 1 yr old right behind me making messes or better yet, making memories :))

I always thought and told Bradley if I stay home I'll be able to keep laundry caught up. HA!! Nope, I feel like I swim in laundry. As I type this I have a mountain of towels that are screaming to be washed.

I alway thought if I stayed home I would have supper on the table every night and make lunches every day for the kids. Something I hardly ever did when I worked outside the home. Now I do cook way more than I ever have but not as much as I had imagined in my head as a stay at home mom/wife.

I always thought if I stayed home I could stay up later and spend more time with Bradley and get things done around the house I couldn't while the kids are awake. And we would just be able to sleep in because we wouldn't have to get up for anything. Although we do get to sleep in most days, it's not everyday especially with a baby. Now that I stay home I find my self staying up till 11 or 12 and that's crazy for me. I've always been the one who would like to be asleep by 9 and up by 8.

With all that being said, I wouldn't have it any other way. Well, maybe I'd like the laundry to be caught up everyday.

I love that I can be the one to take and pick up kynlie from school and while she's there I get one on one time with kooper. I love that if I need to run to town to get something or pay a bill I have the luxury to do that. I LOVE if by chance the kids take a nap at the same time (which doesn't happen too often) I can take a nap with them...if I want! I love that we can go visit my mom at work anytime we go to town. I love how we can plan fun play dates with other friends who are home. And so much more.

I truly am blessed to be able to do what I do. I have to thank God first for the answered prayers and then my husband who is by my side and of course our parents!!!

Not every day is sunshine being a stay at home mom/wife. I get frustrated with my kids, myself, Bradley etc. There are days I miss getting dressed up and going into work and having adult conversations, being in the car alone ect. There are days I do not get to shower or I have to wait until someone can come by or when brad gets home. There are days I think I may go crazy because kooper wants to be held all day. But again with all that, I wouldn't trade my life for anything!

I'm excited for the future! I pray if it's Gods will I'll be able to stay home as long as they're in school.
