Sad

Today has not been a very good day. My Grandmother was hospitalized on Saturday for shortness of breath, that turned into congested heart failure. Today we were told by hospice that she would only live a few more hours. So during lunch, when my mom got the call from my daddy, we headed out. We got to her about an hour later. Thankfully she was still with us and we could see and talk to her.

I had a hard time when I first stepped in her room, tears just started falling. I'm sad for my daddy, his three brothers, and most of all my Granddad. From what we were told and saw she could hear us, but only could respond by shaking her head yes or no or squeezing your hand. She would say "oh me" over and over letting us know she was in pain. So the nurse comforted her with some pain meds.

Before we had got there they had taken out all her IV's and only left one for pain meds. Shortly after she received her meds, her sister showed up and it was amazing. My Grandmother said her name just as clear as me or you could. No one told her who she was and that she was there, like my Granddad did with the rest of the family. I had tears once again. It was something she needed.

Around 6 tonight hospice came in and said that she probably only has 24 hours left. I know they have no idea. They are only going off their knowledge and what they've seen before. God is the only one that knows the hour, minute, second she will pass from this earth and into the wonderful Kingdom and be in God's arms. How lucky is she?

As I type this post it's 10:30 pm and as far as I know (b/c I haven't heard from my parents) she is still hanging on. A part of me wants her to keep hanging on so that I can go see her again tomorrow. Then another part of me prays God will take her so that she will no longer be in pain. I just can't imagine what my Granddad is going to do with out her.

What an amazing Grandmother she is to me, my brother and her 12 grand kids & 14 great grand kids... 28 grandchildren!!! (that's not counting spouses either) She loves her 4 boys and their wife's so much too!! She will be deeply missed.

I love you Grandmother!!!

Kynlie's Second Birthday Party

Better late than never, right? It's been a few weeks since we've had Kynlie's party, but I'm just now finding the time to post about it. We had it at a local park and I think it turned out great. It was windy and kind of messed up some of my decoration ideas, but everything turned out just fine. She received a lot of great gifts and good friends came. I still can not believe she is 2!!!!!

For my memory I am going to document some of the things going on in our life's with Kynlie.

She still never seems to amaze me. She is the funnies little girl I know. Brad and I find our self's laugh at her majority of the time we are all together, even after she's laid down in bed, we'll sit and talk about her. She's got the best personality!! I hope it sticks with her, for her benefit and not to get in trouble in school HA!
She is so sweet too. She gives out kisses more and more these days and I can't get enough. Every time she has a boo boo or bumps something, I'll ask her if she wants momma to kiss it and she'll come over to me and put what ever part of her body up to me to kiss. I love it! Now if she sees me hurt, like this morning, I ran into the bathroom drawer that was left open and I said "ouch" she ran in there and said "I kiss I kiss" and leaned over and kissed my thigh. I could have just cried, it was so sweet! She is very sweet to her baby dolls. I just love that, for one day when she's a big sister.
Now if I'm wrong, I'll admit it, but I can probably put money on that she will do something in her future that has to do with dancing or music, or both. She LOVES music. She sings and dance all day long. Anytime she hears a song, no matter what type of music, she'll stop and dance or if we're in the car, I'll always look back and she's be-bobbing her head. Funnies, sweetie thing I see every day!
For a while now, Kynlie will not take a nap in her bed. She sleeps in there very good for us at night, but not during the day. So I take advantage of it if we are home on Saturdays and Sundays. I'll shut all the shades and turn every light off in the living room and we will curl up on the recliner and I'll rock her to sleep. Some times I'll sleep with her, but some I'll just watch something on TV or just stare at her beautiful face. Sounds lazy I'm sure, but we will lay there sometimes up to 2 hours or more for her nap. I know it will not always be like this so I'm taking it all in while I can.
Kynlie is talking so much. More and more everyday. Her sentences are getting more clear. For instance the other day she wanted to close all the doors in the house and she went around saying "I shut the door mommy". I love how she says computer. She'll say "mommies pooter", I laugh so hard when she says it. Every time she sees an animal she'll make that animal sound. She's been saying "look mommy look" "look daddy look" and will do something funny. We are still working on the work please. She has thank you, excuse me, & sorry down, but please is hard for her to want to say.
She LOVE LOVES her grandparents. She's always asking where her Memaw is or her Pawpaw. If you tell her she's going to see one of them she asks if the other one is going to be there. Every time she sees her aunt Andie's car she says "Ba-dee" that's Bailee, her cousin. If she sees pictures of Bailee she always say "Annie" which is Andie, Bailee's mom. (they look just alike)
Kynlie is so sweet. When someone sneezes she'll say "bess you" We always say God bless you when she sneezes and she's picked up on it. One time she said "bess God" HA but she hasn't said it since. Also every time she coughs or chocks I'll ask her if she's ok and pat her on her back. She's picked up on that as well. Anytime someone coughs she'll say "mommy k?" I'll answer yes mommies ok. She'll turn to my mom and say "memaw k?" and my mom will answer yes. She'll go around the room until she gets everyone. It's so sweet!! One morning Kyn and I were laying in bed and I sneezed and she raised me up and stared patting me on the back. She is amazing!!
Right now her favorite song is Carrie Underwood Undo It. We will hear her all around the house singing "na na undo it" na na undo it" Also she likes Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, but she has her mix version of that and the ABC song. I tell you...she's going to be in the music business some way some how.
We have been trying potty training lately. Not going all that great HA. Every now and then she'll want to sit on the potty, but never does anything. I'll put her in pull ups and tell her to tell me when she needs to tee tee (thinking she really understands what I'm saying) but it never works. The other day my mom bought her some Minnie Mouse panties and I put a pair on her just for fun and every two minutes I would repeat my self and tell her over and over. You're a big girl now, in big girl panties, don't tee tee in them. Tell mommy when you have to tee tee. I'm serious I said it every two minutes. She lasted 30 minute in them and then tee teed. We're still working.
When we go shopping together she is so funny. Every time we go by clothes she'll say "uh so pretty" She'll do that with every thing. That or she'll see a candle and smell it and say "um smell good" She's so fun to shop with, she's really good!!
She love to ride horse. We go to Brad's parents every weekend and they have a handful of horses, so that's about all we do is ride. I have a lot of those pictures to share.
Enjoy the rest of the pictures. I'm going to go spend the rest of my Sunday with Kyn!

My How She Has Grown

This sweet girl is growing way too fast. My daddy bought this cute little Aggies outfit for her last year. She wore it a few time. I'm surprised it still fit her when I put it on her today. The bottoms were a little tight around her legs, but she was still able to wear it and support her WINNING Aggies.

Women of Faith

I just returned home from Women of Faith. My first time to go, but defiantly not my last. I had so much fun, I don't even know that I can explain how much fun HA!

I went with my mother-n-law. She got two FREE tickets from a very sweet friend at work. I use all caps on free because these tickets are not cheap. I will tell you though, I will be paying for one next year, no matter the cost (if one is not given to me) because the experience was amazing!

The music was unbelievable. There is nothing better than worship music!! I'm no singer, but I will sing just as loud as everyone else.

Mary Mary ROCKED the house. I've heard of them and heard them on the radio, but O.M.G. I had no idea. Those two sisters are amazing. If you do not know them, go Google them and take a listen. I purchased a CD while I was there.

There were many many speakers. ALL were wonderful. They all touch my heart in some way.

One speaker, Karen James, who some may know, really touched my heart with her story/testimony. Her husband died in December 2006 on Mt. Hood in a climbing accident with two of his friends. Sadly his friends bodies still have never been found to this day. She makes me want (and I will) go love on my husband even more. You just do not know when you'll say good-bye or "I Love You" for the last time. I wept as she told her story, even more when she played the 911 call she had with the sheriff as she had her husband on the other line telling him she loved him for what she didn't know was the last time. She has a book out call Holding Fast. I will be reading!! Please go check her out as well. As sad as her story is, she's very up lifting too.

Another speaker that I just loved was Luci Swindoll. This women is so funny, she had us laughing the whole time she spoke. She reminded us to not rush for things in our life and to take in what we have now and enjoy it. She used the analogy...it's Summer and we are wishing for Fall, it's Fall now and we are wishing for Winter, its Winter now and we are wishing for Spring, it's Spring now and we are wishing for Summer. We are 16 and we are wishing to be in our 20's, we are in our 20's and we are wishing to be in our 30's (not me HA), we are in our 30's and now we are wishing for our 20's back. God has some thing special planned for each season/age of our life and we need to just sit back and enjoy it.

Many more wonderful Godly women spoke. I learned so much. Like, do not lable other unless you can lable your self the same. Also the most important reminder they told us was

TRUST IN GOD!!!

Just around the corner

How is it possible that in just one short month, this sweet little, tiny, bundle of joy will turn 2?? I just just can not believe time is just flying by.
It seems like yesterday I took these pictures. It's hard to believe she was only around 8 to 9 lbs in these pictures. Now she's right around 27 lbs.
As much as I miss this age and this stage like crazy. I am enjoying every single second of her turning 2. Although she does act 2 more than I would like, I would not trade one second for it. She is such a delight to be around.
I have been busy planning her party. I am a little behind on getting pictures made for her invites, but I know I can pull it together. I can't wait!! I bought her two, yes two, outfits for her bday from Canton (if you're around my area, you know where I'm talking about and it's AWESOME) Now I just need to find her a church outfit....her bday falls on Sunday this year. How exciting, she gets to share her bday with her church friends.
Speaking of church. I have a praise!! We have gone 2 weeks in a row with out crying in the nursery!!!! It use to be, every time we pulled in the parking lot, she's start crying and saying no. It was the saddest little face I've seen. Now when we pull up she starts saying toys. Thank you Lord!!
We are head to the Circus this weekend. I can't wait. We've been playing a video on the Ringling Brothers websit over and over all week to Kyn to get her geared up for it. I love the way she says Elephant. I can't wait till she see this up close and live. I just pray she is good and will not want to wonder around.
