My Typical Day - Show Us Your Life

At Kelly's Korner it's Show Us Your Life - Typical Days

I thought I'd join in today.

  • Alarm goes off at 5:50 a.m.
  • I get up get myself ready (make-up, hair, dress, etc..)
  • Get Kynlie up and dressed
  • Finish packing her bag for Heathers (food, diapers, wipes, sometimes toys, etc...)
  • Throw on shoes (by this time we are running late)
  • Speed over to Heather's
  • Get mad because I'm behind a slow diesel or school bus
  • Then I remember to breath and take it slow. Life is too short to be in the fast lane
  • Get to Heathers at 7:00, unload, give kisses good-bye
  • Head to Wal-Mart to pick up my car pool friends/co-workers
  • Get to work at 8:00
  • Have breakfast with my friends at work
  • Start work at 8:30
  • Look at the clock every hour wishing it was 5:00 and I was headed home to my baby
  • Go to lunch from 12-1
  • Back at my desk, doing work, reading blogs, checking emails, answering phones, etc...
  • 4:00 start cleaning the office (lazy people at work can't pick up after them selves so it takes almost an hour to clean)
  • Leave a 5:00
  • Pick Kynlie up at 6:00
  • Go home
  • Figure out what's for dinner or if I'm lucky Brad got home before me and has taken care of it. (which happens a lot!)
  • Eat (while watching our shows...reality T.V.) While eating we also learn how to count (Kyn not me HA)
  • Bath - Me and Kynlie. Another time we are learning colors and counting
  • Finish watching my shows, while Kynlie plays in the living room and makes me laugh hysterically because she's a silly girl
  • Put Kyn to bed between 8:30 and 9:00 (She probably needs an earlier bed time seeing she's 18 months (today) and needs more than 9 hours of sleep, but seeing I don't get to see her until 6:00 p.m. I would like more time with her, so she stays up later)
  • I lay down a little after 9:00, 9:30 to watch the news and fall a sleep

That's it! My lovely daily schedule. I'm so ready for a change. I need more hours in the day I can spend with my daughter. Being gone 11 hours is not fair. So from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to say 9:00 p.m., I cherish those hours.

Oh what I would do to be a SAHM (stay at home mom) or work in the school district and have teacher hours. You guys are so lucky! Hey, I'll even take working in my home town just to get home an hours sooner...

My New Toy & Hopefully The Start Of Something New

I recently made a new purchase. I'm so in love! It's not the best of the best, but it's great for me.
I have a Canon Rebel XSi. I love this camera!! I've been wanting a new camera lens for a while now so I can take better pictures. I finally came across one that I could afford. It also helped that we had a friend working at Best Buy that day and he gave us a discount! WooHoo!!
Here it is fully extended.
I could not wait to put this bad boy to use. I'm so looking forward to taking pictures of Kynlie this Spring and Summer. This camera works awesome in the outside light. It seems easier to take pictures outside. That could be because I have soooo much to learn about the camera and taking pictures inside never comes out as good as I would like them to.

The other day my friend Heather (Kynlie's baby-sitter) asked me if I would take pictures of her baby bump. Another one of our friends was need some for her invitations for the baby shower. Well of course I was so excited to do it. A little nerves too. Here are some of Heather that I took. A lot of the same poses, but different editing.
I love these belly shots
This one is my all time favorite

I am no photographer by any means, but I think I did a pretty good job and I had a blast doing it. Granted I have a lot to learn about the camera and lighting. Now looking at the pictures harder, I see they are a little grainy. I would love to start doing this on the side, for friends and family. Then you never know, it might grow into something.

I've always been the girl in school that had a camera every where we went. Cheerleading camp, Church camp, parties, girls nights, etc... I have TONS of pictures from Jr. High and High School. I've always like taking pictures. I will continue to take pictures. It's our memory!! A picture captures the most important moments, some of the smallest moment we'll forget as we age.

Bath Time Fun and LOTS more

I finally bought Kynlie some new bath toys. She's been playing with the same old toys, although she doesn't care, I thought she needed something new. I've kept the old ones in there too. I bought her these Fizzy Tub Colors and some numbers and letters that stick to the tub. I think they are so much fun. She on the other hand, hasn't even noticed a difference.
She has taken a Yellow bath (it looks like she peed in the water HA)
She's had a Purple bath (looks more Blue)
Her favorite face to make
She's been learning how to spell her name
Her two favorite ones to hold are the letter i and number 1
She's had a Pink bath (suppose to be Red, but we'll take Pink!)
and a Blue bath
Of course we had to play a game of "Pee-Pie" aka "Peek-A-Boo"

The other night Kynlie, my mom and I were all in Kyn's room and she started going through her drawers and pulling out all her leggings and pj's. She likes to wear them as scarfs and she had to wear her tubogen, she's never got to wear out yet. This girl makes me laugh so much. I just love her so much I could burst!
Saturday night we went to dinner with Heather, Justin and Grace at Chili's. These girls were a handful!! They were so excited to see each other, they were hyper! Oh but what fun they are!
Sunday we had a birthday party to go to for this little handsome guy. His name is Landon and he's 2.
Kynlie had fun riding his dump truck....backwards HA!
She had fun sliding down the bounce house slide. That's Christy, Landon's momma.
She ran up and down the driveway playing with every toy she could get her hands on or steel from someone. HA! She's at that stage, she wants what every one else has and doesn't understand to share, but we are working on it.
Last but certainly not least. Here she is last night. This is how she walked out of her play room and I couldn't help but to catch it on camera. Too stinkin cute if I say so myself.
One of momma's shoes, pink baseball cap BACKWARDS HA, & dragging the baby doll.
This Kynlie saying "MOM...did you really just put that many pictures of me in the bath tub up?"

Dear Spring

Will you please hurry and get here???

I'm like a kid on Christmas, anxiously awaiting Spring. I don't know how much more of these cold, rainy, snowy, days I can handle. I need sun, flowers, longer days, warmer weather, etc...

I love Spring time!! I love that the time changes and we get more day light in the evenings. I'm not too happy about loosing the hour of sleep, but I'll take it for the sun. I have a lot planned in my head for the spring to do with Kynlie. I can't wait to get home and take her for walks and strolls in the neighborhood.
I got a new toy this weekend (post coming soon). I got a new camera lens!!! I'm looking forward to being able to put it to great use. Spring flower will be a perfect thing to take pictures of...along with Kynlie of course. But I'll need something that can sit still longer than 5 seconds.
Tulips have always been my favorite flowers. If I'm not mistaken, I think they were my Ma's as well. So it's a special thing! I love how they are so soft and dainty looking. Make since? I don't like the fact they seem to die faster than most flowers. Or that could just be my not so green thumb. Either way they are my favorite!
I can't wait to take Kynlie to the Dallas Arboretum and take LOTS of pictures (with my new lens). They have the most beautiful flowers that bloom during the spring. That's where I went and had my bridal pictures done. It's just breath taking!
And of course there is Easter. What a wonderful celebration.
I'm hoping to paint eggs with Kynlie this year. She was too little last year. I hope she's not too young this year. If so, well, I'll have fun doing it myself.
and I'm sure I'll get this email a dozen times, as I do every year, but I don't care. It's too cute and it makes me smile every time I open it. Are they not just adorable?!

So, as you can tell, I'm patiently waiting Spring. Easter is on April 4th this year, my nieces 15th birthday. UGH...15! Where does time go? I hope not to blink and Kynlie be 15.

Happy March! I'm praying and hoping for beautiful Spring weather. (with out thunderstorms please)
