There's A June Bug In The Pool!!

See, there's that June Bug...floating around in the pool!

This past weekend, Daddy went and bought Kynlie "June Bug" a pool. It's not much of a pool, but boy does she like it. It's perfect size for her to splash and float around in. It's not a bad size for Daddy and I to relax in either. Something nice to get in and cool off from these hot 100 degree days in Texas.

"Mommy can I get in yet?"

"OK, Mommy, I've waited long enough...let me in the pool"

"AW...Finally, relaxation"

"WOW...Mommy this is fun"

Since we'll be in our back yard a lot more now that we have a pool, we decided to plant some flowers. There is this star shaped rock thing back there, so we planted them there. As time goes on, we'll probably add more to the back yard. It's kind of a plane jane area of our house. I'm sure we'll be having more cook out as well, just like we did this weekend with Brad's parents and my parents.

Stand Up and Raise Your Hands

Kynlie has been standing up on her own a lot, but lately she's getting really good at it. She's been standing up for longer periods at a time and a lot more through out the day. Sometimes she'll stand and just fall down to get down, but now she's starting to figure out how to slowly inch her way back down to the floor. I just know she'll be walking very soon or at least taking her first few steps. Here's a short video showing how she can stand up and raise her hands.

Bye Bye Baby Bath

We have said farewell to the baby bath tub. Kynlie is finally out growing it. We probably could have got rid of it a while ago, but I just couldn't part from it. She LOVES the big tub. So much more room for her to play with her toys and splash momma and daddy. Now we have to keep and extra eye on her....NOT that we didn't already, but an extra extra eye on her. She tries to stand up in the tub, but we are trying to put a stop to that...we don't need any split and falls.

Bye Bye tub. So long until next time. (MAYBE) :)

Hello big tub!! Now there is room to splish splash!! (next time I'll get a picture with out the paci in her mouth, so we can see that big pretty smile)

Fathers Day Weekend

Brad celebrated his first Fathers Day this weekend. I can't speak for him, but I think it was great!! (I'm sure he'd say the same thing). Friday, when I got home from work, Brad, Kynlie, and I headed over to Waxahachie and went to the Lone Star Western store. Brad ended up getting his fathers day gift... a new pear of boots! Very nice boots! Then we went over to Target so momma could get a few things for her self and Kynlie. We had a wedding to go to on Saturday and I needed a new dress. Saturday we went to a wedding of a girl I work with. Very nice wedding! Sunday we all got up and went and had a fathers day breakfast with my family at Denny's. It was a great time!! Kynlie was so funny. She talked up a storm and kept us all entertained. Sweet girl! Then we went home to relax. That evening we went over to Brad's sisters house to have fathers day dinner... AWESOME food! and then we went swimming. Kynlie had a blast in the pool. I guess that means we'll be getting a pool soon! It was a great, fast weekend.
Here are some pictures from the weekend.

What a great Fathers Day weekend. Kynlie is so blessed to have such a great Daddy. I know she loves him so much and you can see the love he has for her. He's awesome!

Popsicle Face

Kynlie had her first popsicle today. How Yummy! OK, if you know me, then you know how VERY VERY picky I am about what Kynlie eats and drinks, but this time I loosened my belt and let Heather give her a popsicle. Look at that sweet messy face!!

Miss Hollywood

Heather sent me this cute picture of Kynlie yesterday. She looks like "Miss Hollywood" in her shades.

**Notice the two teeth peeking out**

9 Months

WOW...where have we been and what have we been doing?? Well, Kynlie turned 9 months old a little over a week ago. I still can't believe how time is flying by us. I'm loving every minute of it!
The weekend Kynlie turned 9 months, she got sick. She ran up to a 103.6 fever (scared me to death). So we didn't do much but take her temp, give Tylenol and Motrin, and rock my sweet baby all weekend. I had to miss 2 days of work due to her being sick, but I wouldn't have wanted her to be with anyone but mommy while feeling bad. Sunday she slept ALL day long in my arms. It was a wonderful feeling to sit and hold her all day, I just wish she wouldn't have been so sick.

Is that not just the sweetest picture of her sleeping in my arms?

Well the week went on and she got a lot better. We had her 9 month check up on Friday the 12th. It went really well. We have a tinny tiny tot on our hands. So, she only weighs 16lb 15oz and 27 1/2 inches long. She's only gained 10oz and 1 inch. She didn't grow much since her "6th month" check up at 7 months. But the doctor is perfectly fine with it. He does not see anything wrong. He did say, he would like to see a growth spurt by 12 months. All in all the doctors visit was great, NO SHOTS!

This getting ready to go to the doctors visit. I just love her watermelon outfit!

Saturday, I went and got a pedicure with my mom. Long time over due! It was wonderful to get out and enjoy a little pampering. Then we headed over to Wal-Mart (of course) and shopped. I bought Kynlie a "walker/stroller" It's for her to put her doll in and for her to use as a walking devise, as she learns how to walk. She pulls up on everything, so I thought this was perfect for her.

How cute is this? I put Minny Mouse in there for her...she loves Minny Mouse!
She sits in front and plays with it more than she pulls up on it. I think she gets a little scared when it starts to roll, so she sits down really quickly. But I do think she likes it. She played with it all weekend.

Sunday, we went and had lunch at Chili's and then we came home to relax for a little bit. Later that afternoon, we pulled out Kynlie's blow up pool and filled it up so she could "swim" (sit) in it and splash around. Daddy mowed and I just sat on the hot driveway and watched my girl play in this hot Texas summer weather (which by the way, is my favorite time of the year). It can't get any better than this! We "red necked" it and only put her in her swimmer diapers and no bathing suit (with lots of sunscreen). She still looks like a cutie pie!

What is Kynlie doing at 9 months:

She is crawling all over the house
She is pulling up on everything she can
She eats everything we feed her
She still goes to bed at 8:30
She still sleeps through the night
She is still in her bed, in her room
She smiles and laughs at everyone and everything
She love puppies
Her favorite sound to make is GRRRRRR GRRRRRRR (it's so funny)
She still loves her bath time
She walks along side the coffee table by holding on
She says Da Da all the time
She is very interested in my mouth and nose.
She is starting to throw fits when she gets upset or something is taken away from her
She is still wearing 3-6 month clothes
She is still a breast fed baby
We have moved her up to number 3 foods
She loves her Gerber bits
She is very active and hyper
She talks up a storm and carries on conversations with her self all the time. (so stinking cute)

She's growing up on us. I love everyday with her. She's an amazing little girl to be around. I'm so looking forward to her 1 year party. I'm already planning it! Only 3 months to go.

Momma

That's right! Kynlie said Momma. This morning after I got ready for work, I walked in the living room where her and daddy were playing and I walk pasted her and didn't pick her up, so she started to fuss (as usual) and then she started to follow me around the kitchen as I was getting her food ready to go and I still did not pick her up (I know, bad mom...ha) So, as she fussed, she said "mommammama"! I ran out of the kitchen, to the living room and said to Brad "did you hear it, did you?" he did and then I ran and picked my sweet girl up and twirled her around and gave her big kisses all over. Then I couldn't get her to say it again, of course. Guess I'll just have to start ignoring her so she'll say it.....HA not a chance!!
